Alou Sam

Alou Sam is a young Malian Gawlo who was born at the beginning of the Seventies in Mali. Very young, our Artist will go to Koranic school where he was taught the virtues of Islam which will be for him a great contribution in his future life. Author, composer, Interpret, Alou comes from one of the greatest Gawlo families of Mali. Respectful other people, our Artist is an untiring combatant for a right society, based on tolerance.

Travelling merchant, very early Alou Sam faces the realities of the town life made of lies and of calumnies. As “Music softens the morals", Alou wants to share his experience through the music. Alou will slap to all the doors of production of the time without success before meeting Mr Boubacar Lah, a great patron of the place which will help him to produce his first album "Soukabe Mali" (young people of Mali). This album, produced under Malick Tiéfing Konaté called Jacques’ rule will make the Artist known in all the country. The emission "Top étoiles" will be used as springboard. His talent and his notoriety are asserted, one sticks him the nickname of "Malian baba Maâl" because of his musical colour and the Fulani language that he chose to express himself.

In 1997, Alou Sam produces his second album "Bamako" always under the crook of the same patron. The young Gawlo Sam confirms his talent, his sales exceed all the forecasts, he deserves all the respect due to an artist of his row, and he can now plan the future with much more serenity. Alou is requested on all the scenes of Mali. That’s how he will take part in the humanitarian festivals "Echo-AIDS" and "Tabalé" with Baba Maal, Koffi Olomidé, Sékouba Bambino, Touré Kunda, Ismael Isaac and others like Oumou Dioubaté.

In 1999, Alou Sam is invited by the Malians installed in France for a series in concerts.
On his return, strong of his French experience, he takes the resolution to produce a third album "Mali 2002", his project receives the agreement of the great patron Mr Lah. The studio Bogolan of Bamako will be used to record this opus of ten new titles: "Ngollen"; "Tagoore"; "Gido"; "Findinam"; "Wata Woye" …etc.

Mali 2002 which will soon be released pays a vibrating homage to the organisation committee of the Africa’s Nations Cup of 2002 which will take place in Mali. A mature album, stripped which will without any doubt open the doors of the international show biz to this young gawlo, flag carrier of the Fulani culture. Take a gesture of Mbalak, a pinch of Mandingo melody, a pod of Fulani and 10 grams of bamanan, mix them, you will obtain the musical gender "the hal poular manding". Alou Sam and his group "Sam Son Or" are gifted with a great cohesion: its members share without any doubt the same rhythmic sensitivity, same impromptu faculty to seize an atmosphere change in the relation with the assistance. Alou Sam sings according to his heart.
