is in the western north of the cliff of theDogons.Created in 1991 by Bouréma Dicko, flutist of 53 year old called Boura Cherndou (flute in peulh). Boura comes from the old school of music of Mali (biennials and weeks of the youth from 1964 to 1988). "Haïré" inspires itself from the fulani folklore of the area of Mopti towards the border of Burkina Faso. One of the preserving groups of the Fulani musical inheritance, "Haïré" is composed of very gifted musicians who express themselves with flute, calabash, traditional violin, singlestring guitar, drum, djembé and n'goni. All these instruments play a highly rhythmical music in perfect harmony to support the captivating voice of two singers. The repertory of Haïré is inspired from authentic rhythms like: seygalaaré, bawdi, djarou, kambari... It is a music which relates the agropastorales activities, the marriages and peace. |
