Sékouba Bambino
The international Guinean Sékouba Bambino said: "I do not understand anything, I am confused, I have at least five albums on sale in Mali but I don’t manage to collect my royalties. In Guinea, they tell me that Mali never sends the royalties of Guinean the authors type-setters, in Mali, they think that it’s Guinea which does not transfer the royalties. I passed to the BMDA to know some more, they give me a partial situation which only relates the edition fees but there are also the public execution fees of our works which never appear in these calculations. It’s a pity but we’re obliged to ask European companies to manage our business if ours are not able."

Ali Farka Touré
The Godfather Ali Farka Touré actively prepares his future album between Niafunké, his village of adoption and the studio Bogolan of Bamako. If no date is still advanced by MALI K7 for the official release, the very nearest republication of his hits is announced. Waiting for all that, the Town hall of Nantes (France) invites its eminence the country musician Ali Farka Touré to sponsor the 17th edition of the festival of the Erdre which will be held from August 29th to August 31st, 2003 in Nantes and which will record the participation of Belgium, Brazil, Hungary, Morocco and Turkey. It should be also noted that Mali will be represented to this festival by a Malian group of jazz.

SNK

He’s only 11 years when his sees his brother Yeli fu, who will be his producer, raping. It decides to try, he will begin with the "spirituals Brothers" but the experience will be short for lack of charismatic leader. SNK tries a second experiment with one of his friends and called the band "C1 Ko Style", the richness of the topics approached, the accuracy and especially their look makes them famous in the Malian Hip Hop environment. They are invited by the national television emission of Hip Hop "Flash Hip Hop".
Moreover, SNK is guest star in the album "Fanga Follo" of the group Fanga Fing and gives a title to the compilation "Mali Rap". The two albums referred to above will know a frank success in Mali and in the western African area. The joy and the ascension of our young soldier will short because he will be obliged to leave Mali for the USA in order to continue his studies. And it’s precisely there that he takes the resolution to undertake a solo career. His first is entitled "Toujours Underground" produced by Invasion Records and distributed by Mali K7 SA. This album of 9 titles presently makes the happiness of the Malian music lovers through titles like "Beki tlomadjo" or "Blofou tola".
