The
rose of the constellation
The Mali had the place of honour last week-end during the official
opening ceremony of the ninth athletics wold championship; a competition
that take place presently at the stadium of Saint-Denis in France.
Among the constellation of stars which was there, a fine rose was
remarkable by her talent and passion: Rokia
Traoré.
Her song "Château de Sable" of the album "Wanita”
has marked the organisers of the event. It’s a song about Fair
Play, surpassment, respect for the other, solidarity and help…
cardinal values of the practice of Olympic sports. So the song has
almost become the hymn of the championship. Two of our athletes are
taking part in this competition: Kadiatou Camara "La" and
Ibrahima Maïga.
Rokia interrupted her promotion tour for the album "BowboÏ"
to contribute to the success of this competition. A manner to defend
the national colours in such an event.
Yalomba
Nana (is here)
The principal characteristic of the young Yalomba
is that each time he releases an album; it’s an event in itself.
And it will be the same for his next album. It’s a real masterpiece
of ten tracks supported with various rhythms. The work is produced
by Mali K7 / Mali Music and has been entirely recorded and mixed at
the studio Bogolan by Yves Wernert,
real magician of the sound.
On this album, the artist is very engaged. A conscious citizen who’s
aware of his duties and who advises his fellow citizen to protect
environment, to fight dirtiness and paludism.
He also denounces the lies of the politicians and tells the population
to be careful not to trust to what they promises to be elected. On
this album which has no name yet, Yalomba
takes a big step toward political and social engagement. But fans
will have to wait because the release of the album is planned for
the beginning of next year.
Techno
Issa in the studio
Do you know who is presently occupying the studio
Bogolan? Techno Issa.
The child of Koren is in the studio since a few weeks for the recording
of his next album. A much awaited one after the success of Sya and
Timbuktu. Except his partner of all time, Yves Wernert, Issa
Bagayogo is also working with B. Anderson,
an arranger from Cameroon who has also arranged the last album of
Amy Koïta.
This new album will confirm the maturity of this ex-bus driver who’s
now an international star thanks to Yves Wernert and Philippe Berthier.
They trusted in him and canalised his huge talent. This album will
surely be the one of the tributes because on several tracks, he pays
tribute to his parents and his village Koren; but also to the greats
of Malian culture such as Bazoumana
Sissoko "Bazoumanba"… or the panafricanists such
as Modibo Kéita, Kwamé Nkruma… and to the victims
of the Joola. The album will be engaged. Socialy engaged to because
he criticizes the people who think that marriage is a way to make
money. For the rythms, there won’t be lot of changes because
e Issa and his partners will continue the experience begun on the
first albums.
