Amkoullel
the assembler After his journey in the seventh region of Mali, Amkoullel, the handsome and assembler, is preparing for the release of his next album "special edition" of 12 tracks. An exceptional album with which he wants to try an original and salutary experience: gather the best of Malian hip hop. So in this project you'll find the Tata Pound, Diata Sya, Doudou Soul, Philo of Magic Black Men and Déné Issébéré... An ambitious project; which shows the maturity of this handsome guy; who has always imposed himself by gathering friends in Mali. Amkoullel has always fought to unite the Malian rap family. The realisation of this "special edition" album will be a real success. Those who will be sponsor of this album won't regret it because the success is granted.
Fuzzomania
is setting up As he now uses to do for some holidays, Yéli Konaté called Yeli Fuzzo is getting ready to inflame the capital. Thus, some shows are planned. The first concert of the king of Invasion Family is planned for July 12th, 2003. It will take place in the hall Bazoumana Sissoko of the Amadou Hampaté Bâ cultural palace. Apart from the family (Ta-K-Mi, SNK, and Magic Black Men) are invited Fanga Fing, Menes, Raphael, Tata Pound and other surprises. Nobody should miss this meeting. On July 12th, the "Djakamania" will invade the palace. For indication on this big show, the track "Mali Djaka" of the album is proposed on the radio and in night clubs.
Afel
Bocoum / Damon Albarn Invited at the festival of Roskilde in Denmark, Afel had the chance to meet the gifted child of English music Damon Albarn. They had already recorded an album together and it's selling well in Europe. Damon Albarn was so glad to meet him that he invited him to make a duet in a stadium full of 60.000 persons. After this show, Damon, after a few stays in Mali, has introduced Afel Bocoum as a pillar of Malian music. Afel Bocoum came back from his tour on June 30th and on July 2th; he went to New York to take part in the festival Folk life with his spiritual father.

An exceptional concert! This what Rokia had promised to the music lovers to christen her new album Bowboï. The spectacle was super! Even the detractors of the young star were seduced by her talent, the beauty of her vice, her control and her ease on scene.
The show was to begin at 20:30 but it began at 21 because the officials were late.
The
concert began with the melancholically notes of "Fatalité", extract of the
album "Mounéissa". Was it a coincidence? No! Because every thing was prepared
in detail. By beginning with a track of her album Mounéissa, the artist
wanted to show all the way covered since this album. The 400 persons who
were in the hall at the beginning of the concert began to applaud only when
she came to "Yankadi". The artist showed all her repertoire from Mounéissa
to Bowboï passing by Wanita (yèrè uolo; djossè, Ciwara, Mounéissa, Dambé,
Sara Kotèdon…). This concert which lasted two hours and an half permitted the lady of Bélédougou to show that she deserves her international success.
She's a real great performer. With her band, they are able to inflame any public and make it move during hours. An entrancing voice playing an original melody. The public was pleased with her and respect this artist who has now her place with the great.
The public wasn't big at the beginning (400 seats on 740) which made the organisers anguish. Not forgetting the Malians habits, the star of the artist and the band that accompany the artist in this job which has always been her passion. Every body knows that passion and talent lead to success. So a few time after the beginning, we had difficulty to contain the people who came despite the rain.
People were late because they are used to concert beginning at 23 or 23:30. Rokia accepted to improve by respect for her job and her public and began on time. Her staff made his best to make the concert unforgettable. Gaz de France was right to associate her to the athletic meeting which took place last Friday at France stadium with 70.000 persons. A performance which made her retain for the world athletic championship which will take place at the end of august in Paris, in the France stadium.
The ones who were late swore not to accept only the nice part they saw. They bought a lot of tapes and CDs which were on sale at the entry of the hall thanks to Mali k7. One hundred of Bowboï was sold and about fifty of Mounéissa and Wanita. All the tapes and CDs were sold. The one who didn't manage to buy one were frustrated because they had just discovered the size of Rokia's talent.
The one who missed the show of Friday went to the one of Saturday at the palace of the Congress were she took part in the show of the meeting "rencontres Afrique Amériques". This show was organised in Bamako to celebrate the 90 years old of the great humanist poet and bard of Negritude: Aimé Césaire. Rokia was splendid with the monster Cheick Tidiane Seck.
For the organisation of her concert, Rokia and her new producer" Tama Production" hired a sound engineer from France, a sound system from Burkina Faso (accompanied of about ten persons), an lighting engineer settled in Bamako since a few times and a photograph from Amiens (France).
Show bizz has high expectancies where ever you are: Paris New York, Sidney or Bamako; it's all the same.
This show will stay forever in memories because it has been wonderful from the beginning to the end.
